POTOMAC, Md. (WUSA) -- Montgomery County Police are looking for two suspects wearing masks who fired a handgun during an attempted armed robbery of a Potomac drugstore Wednesday morning.
MCP officials tell WUSA*9 that two men entered the CVS located in the 7900 block of Tuckerman Lane around 3:51 a.m. Both suspects were wearing disguises and one was armed with a handgun. Police confirm one of the suspects fired a shot during the incident, however the suspects did not get away with any money or merchandise and no one was hurt.
According to police, both suspects are black males in their twenties. One of them wore a black mask with eye holes and a navy sweatshirt with white sleeves. The suspects sweatshirt had white lettering on the back that spelled "G Star". He was also wearing jeans.
Police say the second suspect was armed and donned a large black beard that covered most of his face. He also wore a black baseball cap with white insignia, a black hooded sweatshirt with gray logos, camouflage pants, and black tennis shoes.
MCP officers are still actively searching for the two suspects, however no roads are blocked in the area at this time.
Detectives say they are considering the possibility that these two suspects were involved in the attempted robbery of the Wells Fargo bank that occurred yesterday in Rockville.
