STERLING, Va. (WUSA9) -- Three separate sex assaults since Friday have been reported on, or near, Northern Virginia Community College Campuses in our area, according to police.

The latest assault was reported on Tuesday morning, by a female student, near the NOVA CC, Loundoun Campus, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.

It happened at around 7:20 p.m. on Monday night, at a bus stop off-campus, on Potomac View Road, in Sterling, officials said.

A man, standing 5'6" to 5'7", with an athletic build, wearing a dark shirt and striped shorts, walked up to the woman and forcibly kissed and hugged the woman, officials said.

The man then ran away and the assault was reported the next day.

That assault reportedly happened about 20 minutes after the previous assault, on campus, by a similarly described suspect, officials said.

That attack happened on Monday on the Loudoun campus. Police say that a female was sexually assaulted on a pedestrian walkway near the north lot of the campus at 7 p.m. They say the suspect was described as a White or Middle Eastern male, 5'6" or 5'7", with an athletic build and short curly dark hair. He was wearing a dark colored t-shirt with striped shorts that hit below the knees.

The other attack happened in the third floor east stairwell of the CM Building on the Annandale campus last Thursday at 5 p.m. Police say a witness intervened shortly after the attack began. The suspect in that case is described as a black male in his early twenties, approximately 6 feet tall and 180 pounds.
