COLUMBIA, Md. (WUSA9) -- Howard County Police have located and arrested a sex offender that had gone missing.
Detectives have issued a warrant for Arthur Edward Spicer Jr., 37, who could not be located during a check of all registered sex offenders in the county.
Spicer's last known address was 6664 Dovecote Drive in Columbia, Maryland. There are two warrants for his arrest, one for the registry violation and one for failing to pay child support, officials said.
Police say they check on the registered sex offenders before Halloween to remind them that they cannot participate in Halloween.
Officers located all but one of the 104 sex offenders registered in Howard County.
Spicer was located at a friend's house in Laurel, Md., police said.
