RESTON, Va. (WUSA9) -- Fairfax County Police say a 17-year-old that was shot Friday night has died.
Officers were called out to the 2200 block of Marginella Drive in Reston after a report that a person had been shot, police said.
When police arrived they located the teen, Juan Carlos Godoy, with a gunshot wound and was flown to the hospital with life-threatening injures, police said.
Twenty-six-year-old Javier DeJesus Martinez, a friend of the victim, was charged with possesion of a firearm by an illegal alien. There have been no additional charges placed at this time.
Police are still investigating this case and determining the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
