BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA9) -- A local teacher is using technology to help teach his students inside and outside of the classroom.
Jim Kuhn, a teacher at Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda, is putting lectures on YouTube for students to go home and brush up on the lectures of the day.
Students who need that extra boost at home are really enjoying it.
"I struggled paying attention in class, but with this system I can just go home look at a video and if I don't understand something I can just rewind a video rather than just getting lost in the lesson, said Grant Beske, a Junior at Whitman.
So Kuhn thought, if it works so well with his students, then he'll use the same tactic for parents on "back to school night" at Whitman.
"I watched the video and had a couple of questions, then I sent him an email. At back to school night parents came back with questions too," said Elizabeth Beske, a parent a Whitman High School.
The videos also answer questions students may have about the teacher's methods in class. They can actually watch the video and experience the teacher, first hand.
