COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - The first Atlantic Coast Conference football game between Syracuse and Maryland will also be the last.
Syracuse is making its ACC debut this season and the Terrapins are in the final year of a stay that began in 1953. So Saturday's game will be a one-and-done ACC affair.
Both teams are eyeing a bowl berth. With a 5-3 record, Maryland is one win short of the mandatory six victories needed to become bowl eligible. The Orange need two more wins.
This is the Terrapins' third try at win No. 6. The Orange, who are 4-4, are looking to build on last week's 13-0 win over Wake Forest.
Syracuse quarterback Terrel Hunt says, "Testosterone is going to be up. Everybody's going to be going for it."
