BEACH ISLAND, Md. (WUSA9) -- Have you ever wished you lived on a private island? Then you might want to check out the Wall Street Journal's House of the Day.
A couple is selling their 1930s home, worth $4,950,000, located on an island minutes from Annapolis, reports WSJ. The 6,500-square home has four bedrooms, four full bathrooms and one half bathroom.
The property includes "a water tower converted into an office with panoramic views" and "more than 1,600 linear feet of shoreline" with a dock, according to WSJ.
The couple has spent more than $2 million to restore and renovate the home and property, reports WSJ.
You won't have to give up a lot of modern amenities either: electrical wiring, telephone and plumbing are routed through an underground system, according to WSJ.
So why would you sell this property? The homeowners say it's a lot of property to maintain at their ages (they are in their eighties).
