Brookline, MA (Sports Network) - Brady Watt won the final hole against Scottie Scheffler to take his only lead and advance to Saturday's semifinals at the U.S. Amateur Championship.

Watt was 2-down with six holes to go, but a par at the last helped him earn the 1-up win. He was able to overcome a hole-in-one by Scheffler at the par-3 seventh at The Country Club.

The Australian moves on to face countryman Oliver Goss, who ousted Brandon Matthews, 5 & 3.

The other semifinal will have Corey Conners facing Matt Fitzpatrick. Conners matched Goss for the biggest win of the day as took down Neil Raymond, 5 & 3. Fitzpatrick cruised to a 4 & 3 win over Adam Ball.

Watt and Scheffler both had three wins in the first eight holes. Scheffler, the 2013 U.S. Junior Amateur winner, followed his ace on the seventh with a bogey at the eighth to square the match.

Scheffler won the ninth and 10th the go 2-up. The pair traded wins at 11 and 12. Scheffler tripped to a bogey at 13 to trim his lead to 1-up. Watt squared things with a birdie at the 15th. Scheffler stumbled to a bogey at the last to lose the match.

Matthews made a mess of the first three holes, but a double bogey at the third was enough to give him the win. He was 1-down at that point, but he bogeyed the eighth to fall 2-down.

Around the turn, Goss won the 10th with a par and the 14th with a double bogey. Goss birdied the 15th to close out the 5 & 3 win.

Raymond was 1-up for four of the first six holes, but bogeyed the seventh to square the match. After a pair of halves, Raymond bogeyed four in a row to slide 4-down. Conners was given the 13th, but Raymond bounced back to take the 14th. Conners, the 2013 Canadian amateur runner-up, parred the 15th to claim the match.

After a back and forth first eight holes, Fitzpatrick took the ninth with a par. Ball bogeyed three straight from the 10th to go 4-down. The pair halved the next three holes, giving Fitzpatrick the match.
