Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - Devon Long led the way with a career-high 23 points as the Cleveland State Vikings held off the Youngstown State Penguins, 66-60, in a Horizon League tilt at the Wolstein Center.

Long was nearly perfect on the night, shooting 9-of-11 from the field and 5- of-6 from the foul line for CSU (12-12, 4-6 Horizon), which has won back-to- back games on the heels of four straight losses. Charlie Lee, Sebastian Douglas, and Junior Lomomba all scored 10 points for the hosts.

For YSU (13-10, 5-5), Bobby Hain came off the bench to net 15 points, while Blake Allen and Kamren Belin put up 14 and 11 points, respectively.

The Vikings trailed by six midway through the first half, but they closed out the frame on a 15-2 run to take a 30-23 advantage into intermission.

The Penguins climbed back in the game after halftime, and they took a 48-47 lead with 6:10 to play on a D.J. Cole jumper, but CSU retaliated with a 9-0 spurt to pull away for good.

The Vikings shot 47.1 percent from the field and held YSU to 42.3 percent shooting. They also won the rebounding battle by a commanding 38-25 margin.
