WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Washington Redskins 24-14 Sunday, ending the team's magical run.

The Redskins took the lead 14-0 on two Robert Griffin III touchdown throws. The first pass was to Evan Royster, the second went to Logan Paulsen.

But 14 points was all the Redskins could muster.

The Seahawks answered with two field goals and a touchdown in the 2nd quarter to make it 14-13.

Seahawks Running Back Marshawn Lynch fumbled a yard from the goal line in the 3rd quarter with a chance to give Seattle the lead and the Redskins recovered.

Lynch redeemed himself, though, when he scored with just over 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter with a 27-yard touchdown run to give Seattle the lead 21-14.  They added a field goal to extend the lead to 24-14.

Rookie Quarterback Robert Griffin III left in the fourth quarter with an apparent knee injury.

Seattle will move on and play Atlanta next week and the Redskins will have to wait to play again until next year.
