OLNEY, Md. (WUSA) - Two teams with contrasting styles of play squared off Friday night when Bishop McNamara traveled to Olney, Maryland to face the Good Counsel Falcons. The key difference was ball movement by the Mustangs, which led to their 77-66 victory over the Falcons.

The Mustangs were dominant on both sided of the ball throughout the game, especially offensively. Their intensity on defense caused the Falcons to turn the ball over consistently throughout the game, which McNamara guards took advantage of all night. With strong guard play from Jamar Watson (12 points), and Sienna signee Stephan Jiggetts (12 points), the Mustangs were able to push the ball at a fast-paced tempo and score a lot of buckets in transition.

The Falcons led the game early, opening the third quarter with an 8-0 run to go up 34-29. The last of those eight points came from a fast break dunk by Byron Hawkins that brought the house down. Hawkins is without question one of the Falcons' most talented players. The junior guard currently has offers from eight schools (Deleware, Firfield, George Washington, St. Joes, William & Mary, Towson and UNC Greensboro).

Following the Falcons 8-0 run, the Mustangs played full court press, taking advantage of  the Falcons' weak ball handlers which led to fast-break points. Once McNamara was able to get settled offensively, their ball movement dictated the tone of the game. Stephan Jiggetts' slow- paced, calculated possessions led the way.

"We had hour-long practices this week in attempt to make everything click tonight. Our ball movement was really good and we had a lot of assists tonight. Our assist to turnover ratio was very good and I'm very happy about that," said Mustangs head coach Marty Keithline.

Stephan Jiggetts played arguably his best game of the season and was the scorer his team needed throughout the night. His eight assists and nine rebounds were major factors in why the Mustangs were so confident. The Mustangs fed off of their leaders' play and it showed.

Good Counsel head coach Blair Mills knows Jiggetts was the game's difference maker, "He got hot tonight. Sienna's got a good one coming to them. He's a great player that got hot."
