President Barack Obama Delivers Victory Speech In Chicago, Ill., After Re-Election

(WUSA) - President Obama addressed supporters in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Chicago.

"Signed, Sealed, Delivered" by Stevie Wonder played as Obama and family walk onto the stage for his victory speech.

He told the crowd, "The task of perfecting our union moves forward... We are an American family, and we will rise and fall together... We know in our hearts that for America, the best is yet to come."

He singled out his wife, saying, "I wouldn't be the man I am today without the woman that married me 20 years ago. Michelle, I have never loved you more."

He thanked those who worked on his campaign: "To the best campaign team and volunteers in the history of politics....

"We want to pass on a country that's safe and respected around the world...Our economy is recovering, a decade of war is over... You've made me a better President...The role of citizen in our democracy does not end with your vote...I am hopeful tonight because I've seen the spirit of work in America...

"Despite all the frustrations from Washington, I've never been more hopeful about America. America I believe we can build on the progress we've made..."
