Va. Garden Center Employee Attacked In Parking Lot

HERNDON, Va. (WUSA9) - A Meadows Farms Nursery employee was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of the business on Saturday night, according to police. Police are now looking for two suspects.

Police say the victim was walking in the lot in the 11200 block of Leesburg Pike in Herndon shortly after 7 p.m. on Saturday when two men got out of a pick-up truck, took out a weapon and demanded money.

The victim gave them money, but the suspects assaulted the victim before fleeing, say police.

Police say the suspects were described as Hispanic males between 20 and 30 years old and around 5 feet 6 inches tall. Both suspects wore red bandanas on their faces, according to police. One suspect wore a white t-shirt, dark khaki cargo shorts and black sneakers. The other suspect wore a white tank top and khaki cargo shorts.

Their vehicle was described as a white Toyota Tundra, say police.
