LEESBURG, Va. (WUSA9) -- Loudoun Sheriff's Office authorities say a man who was underage was driving under the influence before a head-on collision on Sunday in Leesburg.
The accident happened at 6:30 a.m. at Evergreen Mills Rd. and Bryn Bach Lane, according to authorities.
Nineteen-year-old Kevin J. Martinez was driving a Honda Civic when it passed another vehicle on a double-yellow line, say authorities. The Civic hit a 2002 Toyota four-door sedan that was traveling southbound.
Authorities say a passenger in the Toyota was airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital. The passenger had non-life-threatening injuries.
Martinez was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, say authorities. He was charged with DUI/underage, aggressive driving and driving without a license.
