Woman Stabbed On Bike Trail In Arlington

ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA9) -- Arlington County police are looking for a man who stabbed a woman in the neck three times on Saturday morning.

According to police, the stabbing happened on a bike trail in the 5600 block of Four Mile Run. At 11:05 a.m., a man tried to get a woman off the bike trail and she screamed for help, say police. The man then stabbed her in the neck area three times before running away, according to police.

Police tell us that the woman was transported to Fairfax Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The stabbing suspect is described as a "white Hispanic male" in his 20s, approximately 4-feet-8-inches tall and 130 pounds. Police say at the time of the incident he was wearing a yellow Polo shirt and dark pants.
