CULPEPER (WUSA9) -- Two men have been arrested in connection with recent crimes at Culpeper's Wal-Mart Center, police said.
"This is community policing at its best," said Culpeper Police Chief Chris Jenkins. "The media publicized these cases, and citizens called in tips to help us identify the possible suspects."
Police were able to identify and arrest the two men after receiving telephone tips.
Leroy Keno Stocks, 37, of Washington, D.C., was arrested last week. He is charged with felony grand larceny of an auto and two charges of felony shoplifting. He is accused of stealing a vehicle from the Wal-mart parking lot and several items from the store, police said.
Earlier today, Jamie Leroy Cottoms, 21, of the 22000 block of Halls Road, in Richardsville, voluntarily surrendered to police. He is accused of stealing video game consoles and bedding from the store. He now faces a felony shoplifting charge, police said.
