STERLING, Va. (WUSA9) -- TSA confiscated a live smoke grenade at Washington Dulles International Airport after a man attempted to board on the plane, officials said on Tuesday.

According to the Metropolitan Washington Authority Police, the Great Falls, Va. resident was concealing the grenade under the inner lining of his bag on Sunday.

Police confiscated the grenade and allowed the man to board his flight to Denver. No charges were filed against him, police said.

This is the second incident in one week where TSA had to stop a passenger for attempting to board a prohibited item at Dulles.

On Friday, TSA confiscated a stun gun after a passenger tried to board the plane with it. The man surrendered his stun gun to TSA and he was allowed to board this flight to Charlotte.
