MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA) -- Prince William County Police say a mother discovered her son had items that didn't belong to him, and they got into an argument which prompeted police to come to their Manassas home. Now, that 13- year-old son is charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of grand larceny.
According to police, they arrived at the 8100 block of Pointer Ln in Manassas for a domestic between a mother and son on Tuesday morning. The mother told them her son had property that didn't belong to him, say police.
Their investigation recovered property from two separate home burglaries in the 8000 block of Ashland Avenue from earlier this month. In both robberies electronics were stolen, including an iPad, a computer and a phone.
The 13-year-old son was then arrested and charged. He is being held at the Juvenile Detention Center
