HAYMARKET, Va. (WUSA) -- A Haymarket man is being held in jail without bond for his role in an arson at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in August.
Prince William County authorities say they charged Maurice Thomson Michaely on Thursday with burning or destroying a dwelling house.
Authorities say more information received in the months after the August 10th fire, which they determined was intentionally set, lead them to identify Michaely as a suspect in the church fire at 15008 Lee Highway in Haymarket.
He has a court date on January 23, 2013.
Authorities say they continue to investigate the case.
