3 Sought In Strong Armed Robbery in Dumfries, Va.

DUMFRIES, Va. (WUSA) - A man was struck in the face and his wallet was taken after an encounter with three men outside an apartment complex, according to Prince William County police.

On Oct. 29 at 3:23 p.m., police responded to the report of a robbery in the 16600 block of Harwood Oaks Ct. The victim, a 21 year old Woodbridge man, told police that he had been waiting in his car in the parking lot of the apartment complex for a known male acquaintance. When the acquaintance got inside the victim's car, two other unknown men approached.

One opened the victim's door and hit him in the face. When the victim got out of his vehicle, both men left on foot. The acquaintance also fled. When the victim checked his car, he discovered that his wallet, with an unknown amount of cash, had been taken during the incident. The victim reported minor injuries.

Police are looking for three black males, all reported to be between 20 & 25 years old. The victim's known acquaintance was 6'0,"  150 lbs., thin build with short black hair, brown eyes and a beard. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.

The second male, the primary assailant,  was 6'0,"  170lbs., medium build with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans. The third male was 5'8,"  160 lbs., medium build with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
