WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The hunt for "John Doe", a man who's real name is David J. Stevens was wanted for producing child pornography has come to an end.
Stevens, 58 was arrested Wednesday afternoon after a tip was received, according to the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) unit of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) said. Authorities also rescued a child victim identified in the case.
A criminal complaint and arrest warrant for 'John Doe', the producer of child pornography had been set and HSI was looking for any help in identifying the suspect, officials say.
More details about the arrest and the identity of John Doe will be released after his first appearance in federal court, officials say.
