WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- For the second straight day, the college of cardinals remains locked inside the Sistine Chapel voting on who will become the next pope, but all of this is going as the Catholic Church deals with the ongoing sex abuse scandal.

The conclave includes L.A. cardinal Roger Mahoney who just agreed to a $10 million settlement with four sexual abuse victims.

Bruce Johnson reported from Rome with more details.
