WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Tuesday the entire College of Cardinals will begin the process known as the conclave to elect a new pope.

More than 100 cardinals from around the world are holding a mass, before entering the Sistine Chapel around 11 a.m. to choose the next pope. When they enter, they will be isolated and sworn to secrecy.

WUSA 9's Delia Goncalves reported from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception with a preview.
