WALTHAM (CBS) - Rescue teams were called in to save a couple of deer Friday morning that had gotten stuck.
An incident on the Cambridge Reservoir was ongoing. A deer appeared to be stuck on the ice in the middle of the reservoir.
A number of rescue crews were on scene and had begun making their way out onto the icy reservoir.
Crews were wearing cold weather survival suits and had brought in ice sleds and boats to assist with the rescue.
Earlier, a deer fell through the ice at the Stony Brook Reservoir near the end of Turner Street.
The fire department said it ended well.
By the time they arrived at the scene, the deer had pulled itself out of the cold water and ran off.
