Teen Asks For Cigarette, Then Punches Delivery Man In Robbery

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Anne Arundel County police are looking for a teenager they say asked a pizza delivery man for a cigarette before punching him in the face during a robbery on Sunday morning.

Police say officers repsonded for the report of an armed robbery at approximately 12:15 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Secluded Post Circle in Glen Burnie. A delivery driver told them he was coming back to his car from making a delivery when a teen approached him and asked for a cigarette, say police. Then, as the driver was reaching for a cigarette the teen took out a handgun and demanded his money, according to police. The driver gave the teen the money and the teen ran away, say police.

Police say officers searched the area but did not find him.

The robber is believed to be in his late teens, say police. He had a short beard, and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, brown pants and red "Timberland" boots, according to police.
