CROWNSVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Anne Arundel County Police say a man flew into a rage when his roommate didn't give him a ride home from work and threw a knife at him twice.
According to police, officers responded to the 1500 block of Crownsivlle Road in Crownsville on Monday at approximately 5:45 p.m. after they received information about two men fighting -- one of them was reportedly armed with a knife.
When the officer's arrived at the home they separated the two men, say police, and the knife was recovered at the scene.
Police say believe 38-year-old Jeremy Earl Johnson became enraged after finding out that his roommate, who was supposedly supposed to give him a ride home from his workplace, was at home. Johnson did get home, and assaulted his 40-year-old roommate, say police. According to the roommate and another witness, Johnson then pulled out a hunting knife and threatened to stab or cut the roommate, say police. The roommate tried to run away when Johnson reportedly threw the knife at him two times.
Police say Johnson missed the roommate both times but the roommate did suffer a small laceration on his forearm at some point.
Johnson is charged with attempted second degree murder, first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment and related charges.
