WALDORF, Md. (WUSA9) -- A young Maryland man battling cancer just found out he has a few days left to live, but his family is reminded to think positively.
Robert Rogers is suffering from rhabdomyosarcoma. He was in remission last September but is now bedridden.
"He said, 'it's okay Mom just remember the good times we've had," recalled Kathy Brooke.
His grandmother described him as a gentle giant who tried to make everyone around him laugh.
His grandfather used a baseball analogy to sum up the sports fan's outlook on life.
"You win some, you lose some. Some games get rained out. But you got to get dressed for every game. And Robert dressed for the game of life, everyday of his life."
