HUNTINGTOWN, Md. (WUSA) -- Maryland State Fire Marshal authorities say a passerby discovered a car that had been on fire in Huntingtown, Md. on Monday morning. Authorities later discovered the car had been stolen on Feb. 4. A press release from fire marshal officials did not say where the car had been stolen from, but did describe it as a 2010 Mercedes Benz GLK.

Fire officials say that the fire was caused by an incendiary inside the car and the fire burned itself out before the passerby discovered it on Ox Cart Road.

Officials report $25,000 worth of damage to the car.

No one was hurt in the incident.
