ROCKVILLE, Md. (WUSA) -- Tavares D. Harris was found guilty of first degree assault and use of a handgun for his involvement in a shooting at the Rockville Metro Station in May, officials say.
The Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office announced that the 18-year-old was not found guilty on the conspiracy to commit murder. He was also not found guilty on charges of attempted first and second degree murder.
On May 18, Harris and Kevin Nguyen were charged with attempted 1st degree murder, conspiracy to commit 1st degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a violent felony and 1st degree assault for shooting a 16-year-old boy at the Rockville Metro station. A young female was graved by a bullet and was also taken to the hospital.
Nguyen was 17-years-old at the time but charged as an adult.
