Police: Shooting Victim Not Talking About Md. Shooting

LEXINGTON PARK, Md. (WUSA) -- St. Mary's County police are looking for information after a victim of a shooting on Saturday in Lexington Park, Md. has refused to talk.

According to police, officers responded to the area of Riverbay Town Homes at 1:23 a.m. for a reported shooting.   They found a 24-year-old man from District Heights, Md. suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was taken to St. Mary's Hospital with non life threatening injuries. 

Detectives tried to interview the man but officials say he was "uncooperative and refused to provide any information regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting." Residents in the shooting area were interviewed but detectives did not uncover additional evidence or develop any suspects. 

The victim was treated and released from the hospital.
