Photos Released Of Subway Robbery in Germantown, Md. Suspect, Witness

GERMANTOWN, Md. (WUSA) -  Police have released photos of the suspect in a commercial armed robbery at a Subway restaurant on November 4, and are asking the public's help in identifying the suspect.

Police responded to the restaurant at 19911 Frederick Rd. on Nov. 4 at 9:22 a.m. for the report of a commercial armed robbery. The suspect entered the restaurant through the front door, proceeded to the cash register and showd a handgun to the employee, demaning money. The employee gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled on foot through the back door.

The suspect is described as an unknown male, approximately 6'02? to 6'04? tall, and weighing approximately 210 to 220 pounds. He wore a black, North Face Jacket, a ball cap, jeans, and a dark scarf around his face.  Police say the suspect's clothing is actually darker than it appears in the surveillance photos.

Police have also released photos of a female who was in the restaurant before the robbery and may have witnessed the incident. Police are asking this possible witness to call 240-773-5100.
