Hector Antonio Medina of Gaithersburg, Md. arrested on assault, attempted murder charges in Rockville, Md.

ROCKVILLE, Md. (WUSA) -  A Gaithersburg man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident in the 800 block of Baltimore Rd., according to Montgomery County Police.

Hector Antonio Medina was identified as a suspect after both county and Rockville City police responded to an Oct. 22 report of a stabbing in the Burgundy Shopping Center at 10:20 p.m. They found a 21-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds and subsequent investigation led to the identity of the suspect.. 

Police arrested Medina on Oct. 30 and charged him with attempted first degree murder, first degree assault, second degree assault and reckless endangerment.

He is being held without bond at the Montgomery County Detention Center. A preliminary hearing date is set for Friday, Nov.16.
