COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WUSA) - Wednesday morning, a Prince George's County man died after his car was struck by another car and then a tractor truck on the Outer Loop of the Capital Beltway near College Park.

Maryland State Police say 44-year-old Kwame Abban of Lanham was driving a Toyota Corolla that was struck by another car and then a truck trailer just before New Hampshire Avenue. He was taken to Suburban Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to police, Abban's car was struck in the back by a Nissan just after 5:15 a.m Wednesday. The Nissan moved to the right shoulder of the road but for some reason, the Abban's car remains in the road. Police say moments later, a truck tractor strck the Corolla in the back and caused it to spin around in the opposite direction. The truck driver was then able to stop without further incident.

Police say 44-year-old Anthony W. Reil of Bentonville, Va. was driving the truck tractor. When the truck tractor hit the back of the Corolla, it sent it spinning to face the opposite direction. Reil was not injured.

The other driver involved in the accident was 31-year-old Jessica W. Smith, who was in a Nissan Sentra. Police say her car hit the back of the Corolla before it was hit by truck tractor. She was also not injured.

Maryland State Police are say they believe all drivers were wearing seat belts. They have not determined the speed at which each vehicle was traveling at this time.

I-495 in the area was closed for approximately 5 hours.
