Funeral Arrangements Set For Officer Kevin Bowden Of Prince George's County Who Died In Car Crash

PRINCE GEORGE'S CO. (WUSA) --Funeral arrangements are in place for Prince George's County Police Officer First Class Kevin Bowden, police say.

Officer Bowden died on Oct. 18 after being involved in a car crash causing his cruiser to hit a pole at Branch Avenue and Surrats Road in Clinton.

Officer Bowden was 28-years-old and leaves behind a 10-year-old son and a 4-year-old daughter.

The viewings and memorial service is open to the public. The Prince George's County Police Department released the following information:

First Viewing: Friday, October 26, 2012, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Lee's Funeral Home, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Road, Clinton, Maryland. Captain Douglas Garrett, the Assistant Commander of District IV, and Officer Luke Allen will be available to briefly speak with members of the media at 6:45 pm outside of the funeral home.

Second Viewing: Saturday, October 27, 2012, from 9:00 am-11:00 am, Saint Stephen's Baptist Church, 5757 Temple Hill Road, Temple Hills, Maryland. Captain Douglas Garrett, the Assistant Commander of District IV, and Officer Luke Allen will be available to briefly speak with members of the media at 10:00 am outside of the church.

Memorial Service: Saturday, October 27, 2012, from 11:00 am-12:30 pm, Saint Stephen's Baptist Church, 5757 Temple Hill Road, Temple Hills, Maryland.

Interment (Will immediately follow the memorial service): Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1300 Bladensburg Road NE, Washington, D.C.

Repast: Saint Stephen's Baptist Church, 5757 Temple Hill Road, Temple Hills, Maryland.
