WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- CardHub.com announced its rankings for the Best & Worst Cities to Celebrate Independence Day in 2013.

The findings are based on a number of different things- weather forecast, hotel prices, walkability, legality of fireworks, bars and restaurants and entertainment options- to have fun and spend less.

Fourth of July spending is expected to be significantly higher this year. Americans are expected to spend $300 on Independence Day Celebrations. 

Here are the 30 largest metropolitan areas in the country ranked with cost-effective festivities for the fourth in mind.
