(USA Today) -- Hillary Rodham Clinton has posted only five messages on Twitter since she starting tweeting June 10, but her latest about Nelson Mandela is a heartfelt one.
The former secretary of State tweeted good wishes Tuesday to Mandela, the former South African president who fought apartheid for decades, as his health deteriorates. Clinton used the name Madiba in her tweet, which is Mandela's clan name.
The tweet read:
"Bill, Cheslea & I have sent our love and prayers to our great friend, Madiba, his family and his nation during this difficult time."
The hashtags #madiba, #nelsonmandela and #mandela are all being used in reference to Mandela.
