(USA Today) -- TMZ is reporting that the ex-wife of retired NBA star Allen Iverson has accused him of abducting their five children.
According to the report, Tawanna Iverson has filed legal documents in which she says Iverson told her on May 22 that he was taking the kids on a vacation to Charlotte, North Carolina and that he would return them to her custody on May 26. She says Iverson has yet to return the kids, who range in age from three to 16, and believes he's keeping them at a Sheraton hotel in Georgia.
He denies those allegations in his own set of legal documents, according to TMZ.
She filed court papers saying Iverson asked for permission, and when the agreed return date passed, she said she tried to organize an exchange on June 4, but he failed to show up.
Tawanna has sole legal and primary physical custody of the five children.
