WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Kicking off a new college year can be stressful, but help is on the way! That help is right there in your pocket.

College students are tied to cell phones and there are a number of apps out there that can help them get through their day. These suggestions are offered by a company called Seamless:

iProcrastinate: This App is available for the Mac, the iPhone and iPad. It is an all-in-one app for organizing a your line up of classes.
The app organizes courseloads, upcoming tasks and major deadlines.

The app Seamless helps you search for restaurants in the neighborhood. It also schedules delivery right to the dorm or library.

Chegg was created by textbook companies. The iPhone app is a free tool for renting textbooks. You can even scan the book's barcode with the iPhone's camera.

Netflix is a biggie for college students. Renting that movie in the dorm is certainly cheaper than going out to the movies.

Then there's the Sleep Cycle Alarm Clock. This app uses the iPhone's internal sensors. You place the phone next to you on the mattress and it helps calculate when best to set itself off by detecting the lightest phase in your sleep cycle. Then it wakes you up at the optimum time in your sleep cycle.
