WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Police are searching for suspects in connection to multiple carjackings incidents which occurred in the last two weeks in DC.
The suspects have used the same style of carjacking four times where they hit the car in front of them on purpose. When the victim leaves their car, the suspects drive away with the victims car, officials said.
Police are advising folks if they are in a similar situation to write down the make, model and license plate of the car involved and call Police at 202-727-9099.
See below details by the Police on the specific incidents:
• On Wednesday, Aug. 28, at about 7 a.m., a two-door gray vehicle rear ended the victim's vehicle while waiting at a stop light at the intersection of Alabama Avenue and Naylor Street, SE. When the victim exited the vehicle to assess the damage, a suspect ran to the victim's vehicle and then both vehicles drove away.
• On Tuesday, at approximately 9:47 am, an unknown vehicle rear ended the victim's vehicle while at the intersection of Division Avenue and Eastern Avenue, NE. The victim exited the vehicle to assess the damage, she was pushed by a suspect who then entered her vehicle and then both vehicles drove away.
• About 30 minutes later, 10:21 a.m., a black Toyota Avalon rear ended the victim's vehicle at the intersection of Fort Davis Drive and Massachusetts Avenue, SE. The victim remained in the vehicle and told the suspect she was calling the police. The suspect then fled in the black Toyota Avalon which had been taken in the carjacking earlier that same day at 9:47 am.
• On Thursday, at approximately 8:05 a.m., a silver vehicle, possibly a Buick, rear ended the victim's vehicle while at the intersection of Hartford Street and Alabama Avenue, SE. When the victim exited her vehicle to inspect the damage, the suspect exited the striking vehicle and fled in the victim's vehicle. The driver of the suspect's vehicle followed in his vehicle.
