WASHINGTON (AP) - Power has been restored to most people in northeast Washington after an outage affected nearly 2,400 customers.
By Sunday afternoon, Pepco said service had been restored for nearly everyone affected in the District of Columbia. A spokeswoman said the outage was caused by a bird flying into electrical equipment.
In Virginia, there were about 700 outages in the Herndon area, but power has been restored.
