WASHINGTON (WUSA9) --  The foodies are borrowing a page from the bar hoppers! Patterned after a bar crawl, the DC Dishcrawl happens Wednesday night along the H Street Corridor.

Qui-Juan Jones is a DishCrawl organizer to us that it's pretty popular.

"We take a group of foodies around to local restaurants, about four restaurants a night. Basically, Dishcrawl was founded on the principle of bringing communities together over food. We go from four restaurants a night. They try a sample from each restaurant highlighting different cuisines on the H Street corridor. The chefs get to come out and talk and give the foodies more knowledge on the restaurants and what type of cuisine that they specialize in," said Jones.

At tonight's Dishcrawl they will have a wide range: fish at one place, tacos at another place.

Jones revealed, "We're starting at Smith Commons. They'll highlight a pan-seared scallop and mushroom and asparagus salad. We'll go to the newer Mexican grill right next door. They'll be highlighting cuisine such as tacos, nachos and chips and salsa. Then we go to a popular British pub. They have a lot of wonderful food and drinks there. The historical lounge on H Street will highlight authentic desserts like a red velvet cupcake."

He added, "At each stop you get to experience something that they have, they specialize in. By the end of the event you're satisfied."

It's kind of like a tapas run. You get a taste and move on. People are interested, psyched about this, how do they sign up?
