WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- DC fire officials say that five people were hurt after a car accident at 17th and East Capitol streets at approximately 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
According to officials, the initial report said one person was trapped. Firefighters arrived on the scene and rescued that person.
Officials said in total, there were five patients. Three people had serious injuries while two people, including an 11-month-old child, had non-life threatening injuries.
