WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- DC Police arrested the suspect of a fatal shooting on Tuesday.
The incident took place on Saturday at around 2:09 a.m. when police responded to the 600 block of Edgewood Street in Northeast after reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found 33-year-old Irving Jones Jr. suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.
DC Fire and EMS transported Jones to a nearby hospital where he died due to his injuries, police said.
The Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force obtained an arrested warrant and detained 37-year-old Decordre Franklin. He has been charged with murder two while armed.
