WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Doctors are keeping D.C. Council member at the hospital overnight for observation after suffering from low blood sugar.
"Thank you for all of your prayers," Barry tweed on Tuesday at about 8:30 p.m. "I'm a 20 year diabetic."
A friend called an ambulance to his home in Southeast and he was taken to the hospital but is not suffering from anything life-threatening, Barry told WUSA9 reporter Bruce Johnson over the phone.
He would not confirm what hospital he was being treated at but said he expects to be released tomorrow, Bruce Johnson said.
In May 2012, the councilman was hospitalized after suffering from a blood clot while waiting to board a plane in Las Vegas.
