WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A two-story building in Northeast Washington collapsed this morning. Scott Broom reports.
The 4900 block of Nannie Helen Boroughs Ave. is closed. No one was around the vacant house which collapsed. But, it was a shock to the neighbors.
Neighbors suspect a BMW that lost control a week ago, hit the building may be the reason of the collapse.
"I mean the building is old in the first place," said one neighbor.
Neighbors are concerned with whats left of the building may collapse further if it is not stabilized or demolished.
"Quiet frankly, they need to hire some demolition people to come in and tear it down, that way things will be safe," said another neighbor.
