Wires Come Down On Bus, Other Vehicle Accidents

MONTGOMER COUNTY, Md. (WUSA9) -- The snow on Monday morning resulted in downed wires and vehicle accidents.

Montgomery County Police say wires fell on a bus on Goshen Road at Centerway Road shortly before 6:30 a.m. The driver was the only occupant of the bus at the time. There is no word on his condition.

Authorities say that a vehicle slid off the George Washington Parkway at Turkey Run. A tree is also down in the area, blocking southbound lanes at George Washington Parkway at Turkey Run, according to U.S. Park Police.

Prince George's County fire officials reported a car accident with entrapment and serious injuries in the 10800 block of Lanham Severn Road in Glenn Dale. Fire officials say four people were transported from the scene, two of those people died.

The National Weather Service says the storm is coming from the Midwest. The storm left 6 to 10 inches of snow in central Indiana.
