WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- D.C. police now say 13 people were injured in a drive-by shooting in northwest Washington.

Police also say that one of the victims was in critical condition Monday afternoon. The other dozen victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Metropolitan Police are on the scene in the 1200 block of North Capitol Street. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said at approximately 2:45 a.m. two cars came by and fired several shots into a crowd gathered outside the Tyler House and then sped away.

According to MPD officials, two women were shot in the leg, and another woman was hit in the right arm and leg. One man was shot in the foot, another was struck in the buttocks, and a third male who is believed to be a teenager, was shot in the hand. Another man was found in a car a few blocks away with a gun shot wound to the back. Police say he suffered significant blood loss but had strong vitals when he was transported to the hospital. All eleven victims are said to be stable.

Police are searching for the dark colored BMW, and a light gray or silver sedan. Police released video from the scene, which you can see here: http://youtu.be/Uscin-9Yd0M

Police want anyone who recognizes the vehicles or the subject in the video to call police at 202-727-9099. The police department is offering a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the shooting.

As for the crowd that was gathered outside, Lanier said that about 15 minutes before the shooting a club nearby had closed. She told reporters that on Saturday and Sunday nights a crowd usually gathers after the club has let out for the night, but that she wasn't sure whether this group of people had been club patrons or not.
