WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- In D.C. Superior Court on Friday, there was a sudden change in the trial for four young men charged in the November 17th fatal stabbing at Woodley Park Metro Station.

The judge recused herself from the case of a teen charged as an adult. The case has been reassigned to another judge and will start at 2:15 p.m.

Four 17-year-olds, Tyrell Smith, Immanuel Swann, Deon Jefferson and Gary Maye, were charged as adults with the armed robbery leading to the Nov. 17 homicide of Olijawon Emmanuel Griffin at the Woodley Park Metro station. Three are charged with the armed robbery of Griffin near a gas station in the 1800 block of Adams Mill Road NW, less than a mile from the Metro station.

The fourth is charged with the armed robbery of another victim on the lower platform of the Woodley Park Metro station. That crime immediately preceded the murder of Griffin.

A fifth defendant, Chavez Myers, was charged as an adult last week with the murder of Griffin.
