FAIRFAX, Va. (WUSA9) -- Power has been restored to the George Mason University's Fairfax Campus.
Early Thursday morning, The George Mason University website said Fairfax Campus classes were delayed and Administrative Offices were closed until noon due to a power outage.
The posted announcement went on to say:
'On Thursday, September 19, 2013, All Classes and events are cancelled and administrative offices on the Fairfax Campus only, are closed until noon due to an extended power outage. All sites, centers, and regional campuses (Arlington, Loudoun, and Prince William) will operate as scheduled. An update on this situation will be provided no later than 11:00 a.m. "
Classes, events, and administrative offices will resume at noon, according to an update on the website. They warn that there may be "some information technology issues (email, phone, and internet) as systems are restored."
