Body found in Potomac River, police need help identifying

FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County police need your help identifying the body of a man found in the Potomac River.

A boater found the body in the water near Fort Washington on July 21, officials said.

The man was wearing the shoes seen in the photograph. He also had on black shorts. 

Police released the following description:

"White or Hispanic between the ages of 40 and 60 years old. He also had on black shorts. The man is approximately 6'1" and 180 lbs. He is slightly balding with short, white hair. He has no tattoos or other identifiable markings."

An autopsy was conducted but the cause of death has not been determined, officials said.

Toxicology results should be available in a few weeks, which may help the detectives learn more, officials said.
